All terrain: Since 2002, the Hippocampe wheelchair offers individuals with disabilities accessibility to difficult terrains, impossible in a standard wheelchair: beach, sand, swimming area, hiking trails, snow, mountain. Sturdy and reliable, it has undergone stringent safety and resistance testing.

An amphibious off-road - The Hippocampe Beach & All-Terrain is an excellent blend of 'beach' and 'all-terrain' chair.  

As an off-road chair, it can traverse gravel, grass and paths. As a Beach chair, it accesses sand and the beach well. Self-propelled or push, it will get you where you need to go on the beach and beyond.

The difference between the sizes is the length of the frame. The right fit is therefore based on height: Small for individuals 4'7'' or less, Medium between 4'7'' and 5'5'', Large between 5'5'' and 6'1'' and XL above 6'1’’

You can use the Hippocampe beach wheelchair as a sand wheelchair to access  aquatic activities : handisurf, kayak for disabled people, swimming, adapted or even water skying.

Towed, pushed or self-propelled, the Vipamat wheelchair offers autonomy to its user, a third party can assist the more heavily handicapped with its push bar or traction kit.

Our Hippocampe Beach is a support for families with disabled child, to help them to access to more leasures and activities. With 130kg maximum authorized load, you can also use it as adult wheelchair.

1. Made in France, the beach and all terrain Hippocampe wheelchair is composed of stainless materials.
2. The tube frame is made of treated seawater aluminum and is covered by a comfortable colored cladding which avoids sun and cold burns.
3. The axles and half-axles of wheels are made of stainless steel. Dual wheels are without ball-bearing, avoiding the jamming by oxidization. The outer rim is covered by a grip that serves as handrail for users.
4. The removable push bar can be easily taken off and installed thanks to its clip system and enables to companions to help users in their movements.
